(he/they) is a 21-year-old writer and filmmaker studying Media Arts and Production at the University of Technology Sydney. They write screenplays, poetry, prose and personal essays, some published in Substack. Their influences consist of Ocean Vuong’s great control of the English language, Sufjan Stevens’s tunes of melancholy and self-shattering catharsis and Gregg Araki’s films full of angst and queer chaos. He has written and directed a few independent short films and participated in music video shoots for indie Australian artists such as Royel Otis, Ayesha Maddon and Charli Lucas as an extra.
Apart from being an aspiring director and actor, he spends most of his time reading books that divulge on the complexities of human condition, rewatching the same workplace sitcoms and continuing to fall madly in love with musicals and romantic comedies. They are usually found logging movies on Letterboxd, contributing on Pinterest boards and curating their feed on Instagram. They also co-host a scrapbooking/journaling club called Scrap & Yap which which has found itself to be quite the social event for people in their 20s.
An Agreement with an Angel is their first short film as a director.
